Native American Final Products

Here is a collection of the final Native American Project products the students completed during the 2005-2006 school year.

Native American Project Final Products

We had been working on the Native American Project since November 2005 and shortly after students completed their research and final products. The objective of this project was for students to complete an investigation of one tribe in one of the eight regions of North America. One of the most important aspects of this project was to learn how geography affected the customs of Native American cultures. Another important aspect of the project was to learn how the indigenous cultures of North America adapted to their environment. Also to learn how history affected their culture and their present state of being. This assignment was a preparation for the iSearch Project. Students were expected to work and collaborate in teams of 3-4 students to complete this project. The final product of this project was for students to create a newscast, public service announcement or a PowerPoint of their research. The links to the final products showcase their work. Students had to write, film and edit their work using iMovie. For a copy of the guidelines for this project please download the Native American Project assignment from this link (bold words). I have also sent home a letter to parents regarding this project, so if you're interested please download a copy of that letter from here (Spanish version).
