Dear Sir or Madam:

Creative! Knowledgeable! Organized! Exactly what you are searching for in an Information Technology Consultant for your institution. I would like to demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities, which I have obtained during my graduate education at Pepperdine University.

During my graduate work at Pepperdine University I had the opportunity to develop an Action Research Project, which allowed me the opportunity to focus on professional development for teachers.   I chose to focus my research on helping teachers improve on incorporating technology into their curriculum, and helping them create high interest technology lessons.   I facilitated many collaborating sessions during this process and my research allowed me to understand the importance of well-developed professional development.

In my experience as a classroom teacher in the middle and elementary environments I have used my qualifications to touch the minds of tomorrow through technology.   I have personally witnessed how powerful technology can be in the development of children's minds.   Using Hyper-Text Markup Language I have developed an extensive literacy based project where students research, create and publish their family's history.   Also through video editing software such as iMovie students created a series of public service announcements portraying historical events in indigenous cultures of the Americas.

I would appreciate the opportunity to contribute to the achievement of your vision; please contact me at (714) 914-7658 or I invite you to visit http://www.josemontano.net where you can also contact me so that we can arrange an interview at your convenience.   I would enjoy meeting with you to discuss the possibility of joining your staff.

Sincerely,

José Montaño
Educational Technologist
